Lower Creek Elementary

I am excited to continue to serve the faculty, staff and students of Lower Creek Elementary!

Prior to becoming the principal at Lower Creek, I was the assistant principal at William Lenoir Middle School. I was a middle grades Language Arts and Social Studies teacher for 25 years prior to my tenure as an administrator. I graduated from UNCA with the NC Teaching Fellows Scholarship in 1996. I earned a Master's degree in Education with a concentration in Literature in 2006 and earned a Post-Master's certificate in Public School Leadership in 2020. I am also a National Board certified teacher. This is my thirtieth year in public education. I have been married for 29 years and have 3 sons. Outside of school I love spending time with my family.  I believe in public education and am committed to making sure our school meets the needs of all of our children.
